Research

Shelter Cymru research is aimed at influencing policy makers at both Welsh Assembly Government and local Government levels in order to improve the way housing services are delivered in practice.

Based on robust, innovative and participative approaches, we undertake research on all aspects of housing and homelessness related issues and have recently completed work in areas such as mortgage respossessions, crime and homelessness, anti-social behaviour, health and homelessness and housing problems among young people in Wales. We have also completed a number of service evaluations.

Our research work aims to develop practical solutions to improve the delivery of housing and homelessness services in Wales and helps to ensure that the organisation is regarded as one of the key authorities in housing and homelessness policy.
